Riesling 2010
Riesling is one of the most diverse grapes at Riverview. First planted in 1999 close to the winery facility, we've since expanded production into three different vineyard blocks. This particular bottling comes exclusively from the original '99 planting of clone 239.
Tasting Notes (4/14/11)
Youthful, green-straw colour with relatively low viscosity. Mineral and lemon verbena aromas lead to a lip-smacking, juicy palate. Ironically, and with no pun intended regarding the special label, this wine is incredibly evocative of fresh peaches! Minor aspects of lime and green apple complement the delightful quaffer. Seared scallops or chicken schnitzel stand out as delicious pairings, but truthfully, this will accompany all light fare.
