Before managing the winery, a young Michael Pillitteri demonstrated his entrepreneurial instinct by selling lemonade roadside. The catch? His inventory came from his parents’ shop, which he sold below cost for 10˘. We've learned a lot since then.

Sauvignon Blanc 2010
The second Sauvignon Blanc produced at Riverview Cellars, this time made in a modern, unoaked style. Fruit for 2004's barrel-aged and fermented version came from a neighbouring vineyard, whereas 2010's is sourced from the Mia Cara Vineyard in Jordan.
Tasting Notes (4/14/11)
Extremely light green-straw colour, indicating youth and freshness. The perfumed nose leads with lemon, bubblegum, gooseberry, and fresh laundry. The broad, fleshy palate is loaded with refreshing acidity and a soft fruitiness. Definitely made in the modern style of Sauvignon Blanc. Dining options abound, but recommend braised sablefish and asparagus, or pesto fettuccine.
