As a treat for helping out on the farm, Sam Pillitteri bought skates for his three daughters at Christmas. Visiting the local rink would be a nice day out, he thought. Instead, the three sisters took to the 'backyard' where ice had formed between the cherry trees. There's no place like home.

Made first in 2008, the limited-edition pinkie has become an endearing staple in our portfolio. Brief red grape skin-contact contributes to its beautiful colour. Too much beautiful colour, in fact. Chardonnay was added to the 2010 vintage to soften the rich Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
Tasting Notes (4/14/11)
Lightly saturated rose-ruby core; moderate viscosity. Challenging, complex nose of sour cherry, banana chip, and candy floss. The palate is full, opulent, and very low in acid, suggesting red delicious apple, poached pear, and maraschino cherry. Inspired matches include gratin-stuffed mushroom caps, butter-seared tofu with roasted root vegetables, citrus-marinated beef, or scallops with cranberry gastrique.
